Gianna Procopio is an experienced educator currently serving as a 1st/2nd Grade ELA Teacher at Academie Lafayette since August 2019, where responsibilities include designing and implementing curriculum, analyzing data for instructional improvement, leading the English department on the Building Leadership Team, and developing online lessons. Additional entrepreneurial experience includes ownership of Macramade KC since December 2021, focusing on sustainable handmade macramé goods. Gianna has also provided ESL tutoring since March 2017, and previously held multiple teaching positions within the Diocese of Kansas City ~ St. Joseph Catholic Schools, including second grade and kindergarten teacher roles. Earlier career experiences include a case manager position at Behavioral Health Partners and a sales associate role at Bath & Body Works. Gianna holds a Master's Degree in Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language from Avila University and a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Rockhurst University.
