Tim Patten has a diverse work experience, with their most recent role being a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Abyss Solutions Ltd since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Technology Sydney from 2021 to 2023, focusing on research. Tim also held the position of Postdoctoral Researcher at the Automation and Control Institute - TU Wien from 2017 to 2023. Additionally, Tim worked as a Tutor at the University of Sydney from 2016 to 2021. Early in their career, they gained valuable experience as an Intern at CSIRO in 2010, where they worked on a research project related to indoor localization systems. Prior to that, they were also an Intern at GHD in 2009, working in the Energy and Resources department. Tim Patten's education history starts with their enrollment at Pittwater High School from 2000 to 2005, where they completed their high school education. Following this, they attended the University of Sydney from 2006 to 2010 and obtained a Bachelor's Degree. Their degree was in B.E. Electrical and B.Sc. Physics. Later, from 2012 to 2016, Tim pursued further studies at the University of Sydney and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Robotics.
