Alyssa McDermott, M.S., currently serves as the Director of Quality Affairs at Abyrx since December 2016, previously holding the position of Senior Quality Manager. Prior roles include Medical Science Liaison at Metamark Genetics, where Alyssa provided scientific support for commercial activities and developed relationships with healthcare professionals, and Manufacturing Team Lead and Biosafety Officer at Immucor, Inc., where Alyssa implemented troubleshooting protocols and effectively managed inventory. Earlier experience also includes positions at Siemens Healthineers and Alere, Inc., focusing on quality engineering and product improvement, respectively. Alyssa's educational background includes a Master of Science in Pathology from New York Medical College and dual Bachelor of Science degrees from Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Psychology and Biopsychology.
