Muhammad Waqas Kamal currently serves as Head of Engineering at Abyan Capital since January 2024 and is a Tech Co-Founder at Novelma since January 2023. Previously, Muhammad held the position of Principal Software Engineer at Bboxx from November 2022 to February 2024 and served as Tech Lead at Bykea from October 2021 to November 2022. Earlier roles include Associate Software Architect and Principal Software Engineer at EMPG and Tech Lead at Cricingif, respectively. Muhammad also worked as Chief Technology Officer at Eyetea and Technical Lead (.NET) at Punjab Information Technology Board. Early career experience includes PHP Developer at Qairus and freelance programming at LivePerson. Muhammad obtained a BS in Computer Science from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences between 2007 and 2011.
