Jim Cook began their work experience in 1984 as an Associate Pastor at Bethesda Baptist Church. Jim held this role until 2006 when they transitioned to become the Director of Next Generation Ministries at ABWE.

Jim Cook received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Pulpit Communications from Tennessee Temple University from 1976 to 1980. Following that, they pursued a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree in Christian Education from Tennessee Temple Seminary from 1980 to 1984.
