Mark Allen has a diverse work experience in the construction industry. Mark started their career in 2000 as a welder for 687 Boilermakers Local and Detroit 636 Steamfitters Local. Mark then worked as a Union Welder for Westinghouse Electric Company from 2008 to 2016. Later, they worked as a Mechanical Superintendent for CB&I from 2015 to 2016. From 2017 to 2017, they served as a Site Superintendent for Day & Zimmermann. In 2018, they held multiple roles, including Supervisor at APTIM and Vice President of Operations at Abtrex Industries, Inc. In 2019, they became an Mep piping superintendent at Walbridge Aldinger. Since 2018, they have been a Piping Supervisor and Mechanical Supervisor at Day & Zimmermann. Their most recent role is as a Journeyman Pipefitter/steamfitter at FCA Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, which began in December 2020.
Mark Allen attended the University of Michigan from 1980 to 1984, where they obtained a degree in Finance with a field of study in marketing. Prior to that, from 1978 to 1981, they attended St. Clair County Community College and earned an Associate's degree in Business Administration and Management, General. In 2015, they obtained additional certifications in Osha (10,30).
