Evette Ochodo is a seasoned compliance professional with extensive experience in the banking and legal sectors. Currently serving as VP and Head of CIB and M&T Compliance at Absa Bank Kenya since August 2020, Evette previously held the role of Compliance Manager for Corporate and Investment Banking at Barclays from October 2015 to August 2020, where responsibilities included oversight of conduct risk across various departments. Prior legal experience includes serving as a Corporate Associate at Anjarwalla & Khanna | ALN from July 2010 to October 2015, focusing on cross-border transactions and regulatory compliance, with a brief secondment at ATZ Law Chambers advising on trade finance and telecommunications law. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Finance and Law from Duisenberg School of Finance and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Nairobi.
