Thomas Brotanek, MBA, is an experienced aviation professional currently serving as the Type Chief Pilot for the Gulfstream 550 at ABS Jets since March 2007, where responsibilities include managing operational documentation and standard operating procedures for the G550 Fleet. In addition to this role, Thomas has a background as the Lead Captain and Line Training Instructor for the same aircraft type, holding FAA and EASA type ratings alongside extensive flight experience exceeding 7,300 hours. Thomas also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Aviles Capital Management LLC, specializing in comprehensive portfolio management for individual accounts. Prior roles include Customer Support Program Manager at Honeywell Aerospace, Simulator Instructor and FAA Training Center Evaluator at FlightSafety International, and Captain at ExpressJet Airlines. Thomas holds an MBA in Applied Aviation Management from Daniel Webster College and a BA in Psychology from Iona University.
