Ted Roy boasts extensive experience in the real estate investment sector, currently serving as the Head of Investments and Capital for Real Estate in the APAC region at abrdn since September 2007. In this role, Ted drives the investment strategy while fostering relationships with investors and stakeholders. Previous positions at abrdn include Investment Director and Deputy Fund Manager for the flagship Global Real Estate Fund, where responsibilities encompassed acquisitions, disposals, asset management, and leading ESG initiatives. Earlier roles include Deputy Fund Manager for the Commercial Ground Rent Fund and Portfolio Manager for both the Standard Life Long Lease Fund and Standard Life Pooled Property Pension Fund. Ted's educational background includes a degree in Portfolio and Investment Management from the University of Cambridge, a Master of Science in Real Estate from the University of Aberdeen, and a Bachelor of Science in Combined Social Sciences from the University of Bath.
