Samuel Brown is a Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Abiomed, specializing in the development and implementation of algorithms for the Impella heart pump on a real-time QNX controller. Prior experience includes a role as Graduate Student Researcher at Boston University, where Samuel designed a novel control system for neurocontrol using optogenetics and developed a real-time pipeline for system modeling. Earlier roles include Research Assistant positions at the University of Houston and University of Rochester, contributing to projects involving EEG signals and Kalman decoding models. Samuel holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University and a BS in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Rochester.
