Matt Selbach has extensive work experience in the field of quality engineering in the medical device industry. Matt is currently working as Associate Director, Quality Engineering Design Assurance at Abiomed. Prior to this, they held various positions at Medtronic, including Senior Manager and Design Quality Engineering Manager. In these roles, they managed a global team and ensured the application of design quality best practices for Medtronic's soft-tissue Robotic-Assisted Surgery System. Matt also developed and deployed a business-wide issue and change resolution process. Before Medtronic, Matt worked at Haemonetics as a QA Validation Engineer and Design Quality Engineer. Matt began their career as an Associate Quality Engineer at Haemonetics. Matt also has research experience as a Research Assistant at the Boston University Hearing Research Center.

Matt Selbach completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering at Boston University from 2007 to 2011. Matt later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Corporate Innovation at Indiana University - Kelley School of Business, which they are expected to complete from 2020 to 2023. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including Certified SAFe® 5 Scrum Master from Scaled Agile, Inc. in 2022, Certified Quality Engineer from ASQ - World Headquarters in 2017, and Six Sigma Green Belt from Haemonetics Corporation in 2015.
