Tavarus Mitchell is an experienced educator currently serving as a teacher at Abilene ISD since July 2022. Prior to this role, Tavarus held various positions in sales and delivery, including sales representative and lot technician at Big Tex Trailer World, salesperson at Kia of Abilene, and delivery driver at Sweet Dreams Sleep Shop. Tavarus also gained administrative experience as a switchboard operator at McMurry University in 2016. Tavarus served in the United States Air Force from 2001 to 2014, where responsibilities included vehicle operation and dispatch, chief dispatcher, and managing military driver licensing. Tavarus holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from McMurry University, obtained between 2014 and 2018.
