Robert Bien has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Robert started their career as a Sales Engineer at ERIKS in 1996 and then moved on to become an Area Manager at Ricoh Europe from 1999 to 2005. At Ricoh Europe, they also served as a Business Planner, focusing on reporting systems and forecast tools for the EMEA distributor department. Robert then became an Export Sales Manager at De Vlamboog B.V. from 2006 to 2007. In 2007, they joined Ricoh Netherlands as the Manager of Indirect Sales, responsible for managing dealer managers and major dealers, setting budgets, and developing business strategies. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Multibrand Channel Manager at Xerox NL, where they set up a new channel using value-added resellers. Robert then worked as an Account Manager Cloud Services at Kender Thijssen in 2011. Robert founded RB advicom in 2012 and served as the Owner until 2014. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Sales Manager Benelux at Abbyy, a world leader in OCR software and capture products. Robert then took on various roles at ABBYY from 2016 onwards, including Senior Sales Manager Benelux, Head of Sales Benelux, Head of Sales Benelux & France, Partnership and Alliances, and Head of Sales Benelux & Nordics. Their expertise lies in sales, partnerships, alliances, and digital intelligence solutions.

Robert Bien attended MTS Alkmaar e.o. from 1988 to 1992, where they studied mechanical engineering. Robert then went on to Inholland University of Applied Sciences from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Technische Bedrijfskunde.
