Weilong Zhao is an accomplished bioinformatics expert with extensive experience in oncology and computational research. Currently a Principal Scientist I and Team Lead at AbbVie since April 2020, Weilong Zhao leads bioinformatics initiatives for discovery and translational programs in oncology. Prior roles at Merck included Senior Scientist focused on clinical oncology and bioinformatics, with notable contributions to the Keytruda clinical trial and the development of neoantigen prediction methodologies during a postdoctoral fellowship. Academic training includes a Ph.D. in Polymer Science from The University of Akron and a BS in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Science and Technology of China.
