Smita Chawla, PhD, is an accomplished Senior Director in Clinical Development and Global Development Lead for Allergan Aesthetics at AbbVie, with experience leading strategic clinical programs for the Juvéderm franchise. With a strong background in clinical development, Smita has previously held positions at Allergan as Associate Director and Clinical Program Lead, at Perrigo Pharmaceuticals as Clinical Manager and Sr. Clinical Project Manager, and at Avon Products Inc. as Senior Clinical Research Scientist. Smita began their career as a Dermatology Research Fellow at the University of Cincinnati. Smita Chawla holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Mumbai, with additional education from Rutgers Business School.
