Martin Gastens has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Vice President of Parenteral Product Development, Science & Technology at AbbVie, along with roles as General Manager of Operations and R&D in Ludwigshafen. Prior to AbbVie, Martin held positions at Abbott, including Section Manager for NBE Analytical R&D and Head of Quality Control Laboratories for Biologics. Martin began the career as a Laboratory Manager at the Institute for Laboratory and Transfusion Medicine at the Heart & Diabetes Center in Bad Oeynhausen, Germany. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Biology from Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf and a Diplom in Biology from the same university.
