James Powell is a Principal Scientist at Abbott since August 2024, with extensive experience in research and development within the diagnostics and biomedical fields. Prior roles include Associate Director of Assay Development at BD, where James directed a team focused on assays for infectious diseases, and Senior Manager of Assay Development at Truvian, overseeing the development of an automated diagnostic system. James's earlier career includes significant contributions at Quidel, Ansun Biopharma, and Protein Polymer Technologies, where James developed in vitro diagnostic assays, drug formulation processes, and biomaterials for clinical applications.
