Nijat Gasimov is an experienced audit professional currently serving as the Audit Manager for the Internal Audit Department at The International Bank of Azerbaijan since July 2018. Prior roles include Senior Auditor and Leading Auditor at the same institution. Additionally, Nijat has been a member of the Audit Committee at the Port of Baku from April 2021 to June 2024. Prior to these positions, Nijat worked at Bank of Baku OJSC from December 2013 to July 2018, holding roles as Leading Specialist on Operational Risks and Internal Control and Leading Loan Specialist. Nijat holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Economics from Baku State University (2008-2012) and furthered education at Koç University from September 2022 to May 2023.
