Zander Pain is an experienced telecom professional currently serving as the Director of Infrastructure Delivery at AARNet since January 2024. Previously, Zander held the position of Senior Consultant at Amalgamotion, undertaking process improvement and strategic advisory projects in the telecom industry. A significant portion of Zander's career was spent at nbn™ Australia, where roles included General Manager Access Network Simplification, overseeing a multi-disciplinary team for network transformation, and General Manager FTTx Network Engineering, ensuring accountability for fibre network capacity and performance. Additional positions at nbn™ included Program Director roles for HFC and Fixed Wireless, where Zander managed substantial national programs and budgets. Earlier experiences include serving as National Program Manager at Total Communications Infrastructure, focusing on wireless infrastructure projects. Zander holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, both from the University of Technology Sydney.
