Jorge Torres

Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor at AAP

Jorge Torres has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of neonatology. Jorge began their career in 2002 as a Resident of Neonatology in Clínica Alemana de Santiago. In 2004, they became a Neonatal Resuscitation Program Instructor at the American Academy of Pediatrics. In 2009, Jorge joined Universidad de Chile as a Professor and also took on the role of Director of the Neonatal Hemodynamics Laboratory. Jorge also became the Coordinator of the Neonatology Specialist Program at the Faculty of Medicine, Universidad de Chile. Furthermore, Jorge held leadership positions in the Rama de Neonatologia, Sociedad Chilena de Pediatría, serving as President for multiple terms between 2013 and 2017. Overall, their work experience demonstrates their expertise in neonatology and their commitment to education and leadership in the field.

Jorge Torres obtained their medical education from Universidad de Chile. Jorge graduated with a degree in Medicine and Surgery in the year 1994. Subsequently, from 1999 to 2002, they specialized in Pediatrics at the same university. Following this, Jorge pursued further specialization in Neonatology from 2002 to 2004 at Universidad de Chile. The field of study for each of these degrees is not specified.
