Robert Thompson is an experienced professional in the field of laboratory assessment and technical services. As an Independent Contractor and Staff Approved Lead Assessor at A2LA since August 2019, Robert conducts assessments of mechanical and chemical laboratories in compliance with ISO 17025 standards. Robert's extensive career at the Mississippi Polymer Institute spanned nearly three decades, during which time Robert held multiple leadership positions, including Assistant Director, Interim Director, and Manager of Technical Services, while also serving as a Technical Services Laboratory Supervisor and Field Service Specialist. Robert earned an MBA and a BS in Polymer Science from The University of Southern Mississippi.
