Anthony Jefferson

As Superintendent, he is responsible for providing administrative responsibility and leadership for the planning, organization, operation, supervision, and evaluation of A.W. Brown Leadership Academy's education programs, services, and facilities. Additionally, he collaborates with the Board of Directors to develop the school’s goals, and execute on its mission of academic achievement and progress for all scholars.

Jefferson is a respected leader with more than 20 years of progressive experience in instruction and educational administration. Prior to his tenure at A.W. Brown Leadership Academy, he served in a number of roles within the Dallas Independent School District, getting his start as a sixth grade teacher at Roger Q. Mills Elementary where he also was the head basketball coach and a member of the Campus Instructional Leadership Team (CILT).

As a member of the Superintendent’s Leadership Program, he went on to serve as the Magnet School Coordinator at Sidney Lanier Vanguard for the Expressive Arts, while providing guidance as an Advisory Board member for Young Strings of Dallas. Jefferson later served as an Assistant Principal at Roosevelt High School and Kimball High School.
