Jeremiah Heaton has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 1995 when they served as a Combat Engineer in the US Army for the United States Department of Defense. In 2003, they began working as an Adjunct Professor for Southside Virginia Community College. The following year, they were elected as a Board of Supervisors Member for the 5th District of Cumberland County, VA. In 2006, they became an Adjunct Professor at Virginia Highlands Community College and in 2007, they took on the role of Regional Director, Economic Development Group - Rural Connectivity at Christopher Newport University. In 2009, they ran for Congress in the Virginia 9th District. In 2010, they began working as the Sr. Director, Logistics and Supply at Massey Energy, and in 2011, they took on the same role at Alpha Natural Resources Services, LLC. From 2014 to 2018, they were the Director of Innovation at Holston Mountain Ventures LP, and in 2018, they became the Founding President - CEO of A to B Robotics.
Jeremiah Heaton's education history includes a Bachelor of Science from Longwood University in Sociology - Public Policy from 1999 to 2001, a Postgraduate Certification - PgC from Longwood University in Social Policy and Sociology - Public Policy from 2002 to 2004, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Western Governors University in Management and Strategy from 2014 to 2016. Jeremiah also has several certifications including a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) from the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles in 2017, Advanced First Aid & CPR, Mine Shot Firer (Underground), Certified Surface Miner, Certified Underground Miner, and Confined Space Rescue Technician from the Virginia Department of Mines Minerals and Energy in 2010 and 2009, and FEMA in 1996 respectively.
