Gaylah Sublette

VP of Research & Sponsored Programs at A T Still University of Health Sciences

Ms. Sublette has more than 30 years of leadership experience in sponsored programs, sponsored research, and research support and development. Ms. Sublette holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Truman State University and an MBA from William Woods University. In her former position as associate vice president, Ms. Sublette established ATSU’s Department of Sponsored Programs while playing a key role in the formation of ATSU’s Department of Research Support, A.T. Still Research Institute, and Interdisciplinary Research Committee. Her areas of proficiency include pre-award development and support, strategic planning, departmental and grant budgeting, subrecipient and contract negotiations, grants and research policies and procedures, grants and research compliance, internal control systems, and cross-functional team engagement. Ms. Sublette has been an active member of the Society for Research Administrators International, the National Council of University Research Administrators, and the National Grants Management Association. In spring 2019, Ms. Sublette received ATSU’s 2019 Distinguished Service Award for dedication to faculty, staff, and students.
