Project Systems Safety Engineer (Test & Integration) at A-P-T Research

Thomas LaForge has been employed in the engineering field since 2012. From 2012 to 2018, they worked as a Senior Systems Safety Engineer at SAIC Inc. In 2018, they moved to APT (A-P-T Research, Inc.) where they currently work as a Project Systems Safety Engineer (Test & Integration). In this role, they are responsible for performing integration across project safety organizations, being an integral part of the design concepts/studies teams in review of future projects, and identifying risks and proposing potential mitigations to EIT Project Managers.

Thomas LaForge has a comprehensive educational history. Thomas obtained an Associate's Degree in Life Science from Brevard Community College in Cocoa, Florida between 1970 and 1972. Thomas then went on to receive a Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences from FSU, Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida between 1972 and 1974. Finally, they obtained a Master's Degree in Health & Safety from the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida between 1977 and 1979. Additionally, they hold certifications as a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, IHMM (CHMM-07412) Master Level, a Registered Environmental Manager, NREP and an Environmental & Safety Compliance Officer from the NREP National Registry of Environmental Professionals, obtained in 1996 and 2015 respectively.
