Hans Craen has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Hans currently holds the position of Head Government Affairs Europe at A-Gas, starting in April 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Kellen, where they held various senior roles, including Senior Vice President from 2022 to 2023 and Vice President from 2016 to 2022. In these roles, they were responsible for the Building, Energy, and Environment Department, where they developed and ran public policy campaigns in highly regulated sectors. Hans also worked as a Manager from 2009 to 2016 and as a Senior Consultant from 2006 to 2009 at Kellen. Before joining Kellen, they worked at Hitachi as the EU Affairs Coordinator from 2001 to 2003. Their earlier experience includes a role as a Stagiaire at the European Ombudsman from 2000 to 2001.

Hans Craen's education history begins in 1994 when they enrolled at the University of Antwerp to pursue a Master's Degree in Law. Hans completed their studies in 1999. Following this, they attended the University of Liège from 1999 to 2000, where they obtained a Master's Degree in European Law. In 2002, Hans Craen attended VLEKHO Business School in Brussels for a postgraduate program in Business Management, which concluded in 2003.
