As the UK’s Chancellor of the Exchequer from 2010-16, George was one of the longest-serving finance ministers in the G7. George devised the open banking regime and the FCA ‘sandbox’ among many other regulations that positioned the UK as a global fintech leader. George also sat on the National Security Counsel and chaired the UK’s Cybersecurity Committee.
George is a senior leader in global finance, holding high government office and working with some of the world’s most respected financial firms. He has deep experience of policymaking in the fields of Fintech, housing finance, savings, cryptocurrency and cybersecurity.
