Peter Tapling, APRP has a diverse work experience across various companies and roles. Peter is currently the Managing Director at PTap Advisory, LLC, a position they have held since January 2018. Peter is also a Board Member at the U.S. Faster Payments Council, serving multiple terms starting from May 2020. At Nacha, Peter has served as a Technology Advisor since June 2019 and has held various other roles such as being a member of the Conference Planning Committee and the Board of Regents for The Payments Institute. In addition, they serve as a CxO Advisor - Strategy and Go-To-Market at 99FinTech since October 2022, and as an Advisory Director at ePayResources since April 2019. Peter is also part of the Strategic Advisory Boards for PayQwick and Identifee, starting from May 2022 and March 2022 respectively. Peter has served as a Board Observer at LzLabs GmbH since March 2018 and as a Board Member at FinTEx since April 2018. Lastly, Peter has been a Mentor at Founder Institute since February 2008 and continues in that role until January 2023.

Peter Tapling, APRP began their education journey in 1979 at Illinois State University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Computer Science and Business Administration. Peter completed this program in 1983.

In addition to their formal education, Peter Tapling obtained several certifications throughout their career. In September 2019, they earned the Accredited Payments Risk Professional certification from Nacha. Peter further expanded their knowledge and skills in blockchain technology by completing various online courses. In April 2018, they obtained the edX certificate for "LFS171x: Blockchain for Business - An Introduction to Hyperledger Technologies." Later that year, in August, they obtained the BerkeleyX certificate for "CS198.1x: Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies." In November 2018, they completed the BerkeleyX course "CS198.2x: Blockchain Technology." Furthermore, in November 2020, they obtained the edX certificate for "FinTech Professional Certificate -- HKUx" and "Blockchain for Business -- The Linux Foundation." Finally, in March 2021, Peter Tapling became a SPEAK Instructor certified by Nacha. Most recently, in January 2022, they acquired the edX Verified Certificate for Intellectual Property Law and Policy: Part 1.
