Michael Pecoriello has a diverse work experience in the media and entertainment industry. Michael is currently working as a Showrunner and Co-Head Writer at 9 Story Media Group since 2019. Prior to that, they were a Creative Consultant for various companies in 2018, where they created and developed animated series for Sesame Workshop and Harper Collins. Michael also served as a Production and Development Consultant for King Features, collaborating with Netflix and The Jim Henson Company.
From 2015 to 2018, Pecoriello worked at Nickelodeon Animation as an Executive Producer and Showrunner for the animated series Welcome to the Wayne. Michael led a team of over 100 artists, writers, and producers and oversaw all aspects of production. Additionally, Pecoriello worked at Nickelodeon as the Vice President of Strategy & Content Development in 2015, overseeing the development of live tent pole events and collaborating with various teams.
Earlier in their career, Pecoriello held positions at Nickelodeon from 2007 to 2014, serving as the Vice President of Brand Editorial and Vice President of Editorial, On Air Creative. Michael maintained the voice and brand identity of Nickelodeon and oversaw the conception and development of promotional campaigns.
Pecoriello's experience also includes working as a Supervising Producer/Head Writer at 4Kids Productions, where they created episodes of the popular animated series Yu-Gi-Oh!, and as a Senior Producer/Writer at The Walt Disney Company, where they created and maintained a news website for kids.
Michael has also worked as a Freelance Consultant/Writer for Scholastic and as a Producer at Noggin, Nickelodeon's educational network. Additionally, Pecoriello began their career as a Production Assistant at WWE (formerly World Wrestling Federation).
Throughout their career, Pecoriello has demonstrated expertise in creative development, production, and content strategy across various media platforms.
Michael Pecoriello completed their high school education at Monsignor Farrell High School from 1988 to 1992. Following this, they pursued further studies at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University from 1992 to 1996. During their time at Syracuse, Pecoriello focused on Television, Radio & Film Production as well as Marketing, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in their chosen field of study.
