Emily Arnold

Senior Vice President, Engineering at 8minute Solar Energy

Emily Arnold, P.E. has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Emily began their career at Cooper Power Systems as an Engineering Intern, where they focused on distribution transformer selection procedures and developed training manuals for new product development. Emily then worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at Kansas State University, leading independent research on lab power consumption and participating in a sustainable energy program. Emily also served as a Graduate Student Assistant at the California Air Resources Board.

In 2013, Emily joined Recurrent Energy as a Performance and System Engineer, where they led energy modeling and equipment analysis for PV/storage projects. Emily then took on the role of Senior Engineer/Associate in the Technology Analytics Group, focusing on strategic procurement and serving as a liaison between internal and external parties.

Currently, Emily is with Avantus, where they have held various positions. Emily started as a Director of Optimization Engineering and was later promoted to Senior Director before becoming the Vice President of Engineering. Their most recent role with Avantus is Senior Vice President, Engineering.

Throughout their career, Emily has demonstrated expertise in optimization engineering, system analysis, and project coordination. Emily is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) and their work experience reflects a strong background in the energy industry.

Emily Arnold, P.E. holds an M.S. degree in Renewable Energy Systems from Stanford University, obtained from 2011 to 2013. Prior to that, they earned a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering between 2007 and 2011. In 2016, Emily also obtained a license as a Licensed Professional Electrical Engineer (PE) from the State of California.
