Nikhil Hegde has had diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Nikhil started their career as a Revenue Assurance Consultant with Subex Ltd in 2005. After that, they worked as a Senior Consultant at KPMG Advisory from 2008 to 2009. Nikhil then joined OnMobile as a Revenue Assurance Analyst from 2009 to 2010. Afterwards, Nikhil joined Tata Teleservices as Deputy Manager - Corporate Revenue Assurance from 2010 to 2012. Nikhil then moved on to Bharti Airtel Limited, where they served as Head - Business Engagement & Support from 2012 to 2013. Currently, they are the Co-founder and CEO of 6Degree, an E-Commerce enablement SaaS platform, since August 2015.

Nikhil Hegde completed their Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communication from Visvesvaraya Technological University in 2005. In 2013, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies, Management, and Marketing from the University of Leeds. In 2014, they attended the German Graduate School of Management and Law (GGS) for management studies. Prior to their university education, they studied at Bishop Cotton Boys' School from 1986 to 1999.
