Venki Ayalur is an experienced professional with a diverse work background. Venki founded and currently holds the positions of President and CTO at Blendid. Prior to that, they worked at Barnes and Noble - Nook as a Senior Director and later as the Head of Consumer Software Development. During their time at Barnes and Noble, they played a key role in developing and delivering Nook devices, apps, and associated cloud software. Venki also led the development of Nook Glowlight Plus, a groundbreaking product in terms of both hardware and software. Before joining Barnes and Noble, Venki worked at Motorola Mobility, where they held various positions including Director of Engineering and Senior Engineering Manager. Venki was responsible for conceiving and leading the development of Smart Actions, as well as creating and leading teams across the globe. Venki also worked as a Software Engineer at Interim Technology, where they created a real-time operating system for the commercial magazine publishing industry. Overall, Venki Ayalur has a strong background in software development, engineering management, and innovative product development.

Venki Ayalur attended several prestigious institutions to further their education. From 1989 to 1991, they pursued a M.Sc (Tech) degree in Engineering Technology at the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Following this, they enrolled at Northern Illinois University from 2003 to 2005 and obtained a Master's degree (MS) in Computer Science. Finally, in 2006 and 2007, Venki Ayalur attended the Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management for their MBA, focusing on General Management.
