Venkat SVS Sankaran has over two decades of experience in finance operations, currently serving as Vice President of Finance Operations at UST since February 2004. In this role, Venkat has played a pivotal part in developing financial goals, implementing comprehensive financial accounting systems in an ERP environment, and overseeing internal audits to ensure compliance with IFRS, USGAAP, and IGAAP standards. Prior to this position, Venkat held the role of Senior Manager – Business Finance, where responsibilities included budget creation, variance analysis, and the establishment of a competent Business Finance Team aimed at enhancing revenue recognition and operational reporting. Venkat’s previous experience includes senior finance positions at Airtravel Enterprises Pvt Ltd and GMMCO Ltd, complemented by a Chartered Accountancy degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Bachelor of Corporate Secretaryship.
