In 2012, they worked as a Loan Review Team Leader at Kiva.org, managing a remote team and serving as a link between volunteers and company headquarters. Gabi then joined the Institute of Directors as a Product Marketing Assistant, planning and managing marketing campaigns for IoD services.
In 2014, Gabi worked at Driftrock, starting as a Junior Marketer and eventually taking on roles such as Marketing and Business Development Manager and Head of Product. Gabi was involved in various aspects of the company, including acquisition efforts, sales, and product development. During their time at Driftrock, they helped grow monthly recurring revenue from zero to five figures.
In 2014 and 2015, Gabi had mentoring roles at Startup Institute and IncuBus Ventures, respectively. At Startup Institute, they taught Technical Marketing skills to students, covering topics such as email marketing, SEO, and content marketing. At IncuBus Ventures, they mentored early-stage startups and entrepreneurs, focusing on marketing.
In 2018, Gabi worked as a Product Manager at Acumen, specifically in the Lean Data team. Gabi Brito Barbosa began their education in 2006 at Nova School of Business and Economics, where they pursued a B.Sc in Management. Gabi completed their undergraduate degree in 2009. In 2008, during their time at Nova School of Business and Economics, they also attended the University of Amsterdam, where they obtained another B.Sc in Management.
After completing their undergraduate studies, Gabi went on to pursue a M.Sc in Business Administration at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) in 2010. Gabi successfully completed their M.Sc degree in 2011, earning the distinction of "Cum Laude".
