Jose Carlos Montañez Aragón has worked in the software engineering and augmented reality fields for the past seven years. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer for 47 Degrees. From 2016 to 2021, they worked at Capgemini Engineering, where they held the role of Augmented Reality Expert, Junior Consultant - Augmented Reality Developer, and Altran Innovation Centre for Advanced Manufacturing Internship. During their time at Capgemini, they worked on Augmented Reality solutions for industry and manufacturing, as well as project management and research into new technologies. Prior to this, they worked as a Software Web Developer for Suministradora Eléctrica de Cádiz from 2014 to 2016, where they developed the company intranet and a web application to optimize the contracted electric power of the clients.

Jose Carlos Montañez Aragón completed a Grado en Ingeniería Informática from the Universidad de Cádiz from 2010 to 2015, with a field of study in Ciencias de la computación. Jose Carlos then went on to complete a Máster en Investigación en Ingeniería de Sistemas y de la Computación from the same university from 2015 to 2017. In addition, they have obtained various certifications, including Reactive Architecture(1): Introduction to Reactive Systems and Reactive Architecture(2): Domain Driven Design from Lightbend, Inc. in December 2021, Functional Program Design in Scala and Functional Programming Principles in Scala from Coursera in July 2021, and a Certified Reactive Architect Exam v4 from Lightbend, Inc. in January 2022.
