Daniel Manning has worked in the software engineering industry since 2005. Daniel started their career as a Developer at HeyMath! in 2005 and then moved to IBM for HMx as a Java Developer in 2008. In 2015, they joined Sage as a Java Developer and then moved to HM Revenue & Customs as a Scala Developer in 2016. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer at 47 Degrees. During their time at HM Revenue & Customs, they also held the role of Senior Scala Developer, where they were responsible for developing new and supporting existing microservices in Scala, leading and mentoring a team of developers, and leading technical decisions on the project.
Daniel Manning studied at St Thomas More Catholic School, Blaydon from 1995 to 2002. Daniel then attended Churchill College, Cambridge from 2002 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics. Daniel also obtained a certification in Functional Programming in Scala from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne on Coursera in February 2022.
