Tucker Sargent has worked in the media industry since 2007. Tucker began their career as a lifeguard at the Point Mallard Aquatic Center in 2007. In 2011, they became an intern at WAAY-TV, where they shot footage at sporting events, tagged along with reporters on stories, wrote sports scripts, and searched online for possible stories. In 2012, they were hired by 41NBC/WMGT-DT as a News Anchor, Sports Anchor and Reporter, and General Assignment Reporter. As a Sports Anchor and Reporter, they were responsible for shooting, writing, editing, producing, and anchoring local sports stories and highlights with an emphasis on high school sports. Tucker also covered Mercer, Georgia College, Fort Valley State, UGA, and Georgia Tech athletics. As a General Assignment Reporter, they were a "One man band" reporter with the ability to write, shoot, and edit news stories daily. Tucker also arranged interviews and researched and analyzed background information related to stories.
Tucker Sargent received an Advanced Diploma from Danville High School in 2007, having achieved a 3.95 GPA. Tucker then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Broadcast Journalism/Sports Information from Troy University in 2011.
