Rick Sollet has extensive work experience in the tech industry. Rick is currently the Co-founder and CTO of 3rdRisk, a position they have held since January 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Universiteit Maastricht, where they held the roles of Technical Lead Developer from May 2018 to March 2023 and Digital Innovation Officer from November 2016 to May 2018. Rick also had their own business, Sollet internetdiensten, where they were a self-employed entrepreneur from 2011 to 2019. Before that, they worked at Startkabel.nl B.V. as a Lead Web Developer from 2012 to 2016 and as an Operational Manager from 2010 to 2012. Their early career included roles as a PHP Programmer at Startkabel.nl VOF from 2001 to 2010 and as a Business Consultant at VVV Zuid-Limburg from November 2006 to April 2007.

Rick Sollet obtained their MBO 4 degree in ICT Beheerder from Leeuwenborgh Opleidingen, where they studied from 2002 to 2004. Rick then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Information Management at Zuyd Hogeschool | Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, completing their studies from 2004 to 2007.
