Ruth Keating is a barrister at 39 Essex Chambers since September 2017, having previously served as a pupil barrister. Ruth was a member of the Drafting Committee for the Bar Human Rights Committee from August 2016 to January 2020 and worked as a Judicial Assistant to Lady Arden and Lord Kitchin at the UK Supreme Court from September 2018 to August 2019. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Assistant at the Law Commission of England and Wales and as an Associate at Ci. Academically, Ruth obtained a first-class honours law degree from Trinity College Dublin, where involvement included presidencies and editorial roles in various societies and recognition on the Dean of Studentsā€™ Roll of Honour. Ruth also has extensive experience in debating and mooting, securing several prestigious awards and recognitions. Education culminated with the completion of the BPTC at The University of Law from 2015 to 2016.
