Candis Tolliver is an accomplished political leader with extensive experience in advocacy and organizing. Currently serving as Vice President and Political Director at 32BJ SEIU since June 2015, Tolliver oversees legislative and electoral programs across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Previously, at the New York Civil Liberties Union, Tolliver progressed from Deputy Political Director to Assistant Advocacy Director for Organizing, focusing on statewide organizing efforts and civil rights campaigns. With earlier roles at Planned Parenthood of Nassau County, Tolliver has developed a strong foundation in grassroots organizing and public affairs. Tolliver holds a Master of Arts in Urban Policy from The New School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Norfolk State University.
