Calum Spring has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Calum started their career in 2009 as an ICT Technician at ACT Emergency Services Agency. From 2008 to 2018, they worked as an IT Specialist, providing IT support and building bespoke workstations and gaming PCs for individuals and small businesses in Canberra. In 2012, they worked as a Programming Teacher at the Academy of Interactive Entertainment, teaching various programming skills and rewriting coursework. In 2013, they co-founded Cardboard Keep, where they served as a Director, Programmer, Producer, and Treasurer. During their time there, they led projects such as Attrition: Tactical Fronts and Puzzle Puppers. In 2018, they joined Immutable as a Lead Game Developer for Gods Unchained, where they built and managed a team of 6 developers and conceptualized the game architecture. Calum also designed and implemented team-wide technical and procedural standards. In 2022, they worked as an Expert Programmer and then as a Lead Programmer at Amplitude Studios. In 2022, they also worked as a Technical Lead at Anecdote Games. Currently, they are serving as a Lead Developer at 2UP Games, starting from 2023.
Calum Spring holds a Graduate Diploma in Business Management from the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE) RTO 88021, which was obtained in 2013. In 2011-2012, they also completed an Advanced Diploma in Professional Game Development from AIE. Furthermore, in 2009-2010, Calum earned a Diploma in Networking IT from Blended Learning International. Calum has additional certifications in Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110 from HBA Learning Centres and UTokyo006x: Sustainability Science - A Key Concept for Future Design from edX, although the specific dates of attainment are not provided.
