Samantha Shapiro, M.D., is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in rheumatology and medical education. Currently serving as the Executive Editor of Harrison's Principles of Internal Medicine at McGraw Hill, Samantha oversees various educational products and digital initiatives. As Affiliate Faculty and Director of Rheumatology Education at Dell Medical School, Samantha developed a Clinical Rheumatology Elective and built the Division of Rheumatology, addressing healthcare needs for the underserved population in Texas. Samantha also contributes as a medical writer for multiple publications, including CreakyJoints and The Rheumatologist, while providing virtual consultations as a rheumatologist in Guam and as a diagnostic consultant.
