Ray Ortyl is an experienced aviation professional currently serving as Head of Flight Trials at 2Excel Aviation Ltd since May 2017. Prior to this role, Ray Ortyl was the Executive Officer and Requirements Manager at the Air Battlespace Training Centre from January 2014 to April 2017, where training was provided in advanced synthetic environments for military personnel. Additionally, Ray Ortyl served as Battery Commander for 49 (Inkerman) Battery, Royal Artillery, and has held various positions within the Royal Air Force, including OC JAPPLE and Sentry Plans within Force HQ. Ray Ortyl also worked as a Requirements Manager for the MOD DE&S and as an Exchange Officer with the USAF on the E-3 fleet. Academically, Ray Ortyl holds an MSc in Aero Systems from Kingston University and an MBA from Staffordshire University.
