Michael Wheeler is an accomplished professional in the motorsports industry with extensive experience in various capacities, primarily focused on competition leadership and engineering. Currently serving as Sr. Director of Planning & Operations and Competition Director/Crew Chief at 23XI Racing since November 2020, Michael previously held roles as Competition Director and Crew Chief at Leavine Family Racing from December 2018 to November 2020. Michael's career also includes significant tenure at Joe Gibbs Racing from 2002 to 2020, where Michael was a Race Engineer and Crew Chief for notable NASCAR teams. Early career experiences include positions at T.S. Motorsports, STIDD Systems, and High Gear Racing, complemented by an engineering co-op at TRW. Michael holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering with an Automotive Specialty from Kettering University.
