Will McCombs has worked for 2 Circle Consulting, Inc. since 2022 as a Senior Warfare Analyst. Prior to that, they were with VX-9 from 2018 to 2021, where they held the roles of Commanding Officer and Chief Operational Test Director. Before that, they worked for Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) from 2015 to 2018 as the NGJ Integration Lead.

Will McCombs received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy between 1992 and 1996. Will then attended the United States Naval Test Pilot School in 2004, but did not receive a degree. From 2002 to 2003, they earned their Master of Science (M.S.) in Aeronautical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School.
