Michael 'Mango' Bowen has had an extensive career in the military and aviation industry. Michael 'Mango' began their career in 1989 as an Electronic Warfare Officer in the United States Air Force. In 1991, they took a role as a Firefighter for the City of Crestview, FL. In 1997, they joined the Royal Australian Air Force as an Air Staff Officer, Plans and Operations, Air Combat Officer, and Joint Operations Staff Officer. In 2010, they became the E-7 Wedgetail Test Team Lead at the Wedgetail Project Office at Boeing Seattle. Most recently, in 2019, they took on the role of Senior Analyst at 2 Circle Consulting, Inc.

Michael 'Mango' Bowen's education history began at the University of Colorado Boulder, where they earned an Honors B.A. in International Economics between 1986 and 1990. Michael 'Mango' then attended The University of Alabama, earning an Honors M.S. in International Economics in 1991-1992. Finally, they graduated with a Graduate Diploma in Military Strategic Studies, General from the Australian Command and Staff College, Australian Defence Force in 2008.
