Chris Janke has over 20 years of professional experience in the U.S. Navy and the private sector. Chris began their career in 1999 as the Catapult & Arresting Gear Officer on the USS John F Kennedy. Chris then moved to Patrol Squadron THIRTY in 2001 as an Aircraft Maintenance Officer, and in 2003, they became the Operations Officer at Patrol Squadron FOUR. From 2005 to 2011, they held several positions at the Joint Staff J-3, including Deputy Division Chief J-39 Recon Ops Div. In 2008, they were Commanding Officer at Scientific Development Squadron ONE (VXS-1). From 2012 to 2015, they served as Chief of Staff at Patrol and Reconnaissance Wing ELEVEN. Chris then moved to Naval Base Ventura County as Commanding Officer from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, they joined Ontic as Government Relations and Sales Manager, and in 2020, they became a Senior Analyst at 2 Circle Consulting, Inc.
Chris Janke attended BHS from 1984 to 1987 and earned a high school degree. Chris then attended the United States Naval Academy from 1987 to 1991, where they earned a B.S. in Engineering. Chris also obtained an Installation Command certification from the US Navy.
