Luis Véliz has extensive work experience in software development and information technology management. Luis is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer and Team/Tech Lead at 1health since April 2021. Previously, they worked at TTT Studios as a Software Developer, where they contributed to backend development in innovative projects using Laravel (PHP), PostgreSQL, and AWS. Prior to that, they served as an Information Technology Manager at Tracktec S.A., leading the design and development of an IoT data processing system and web applications. Luis also worked as a Full Stack Developer at Inria Chile, where they participated in projects for online monitoring and mine tailings deposits. Additionally, they served as the Business Development Director and was responsible for identifying industry needs and proposing technological solutions for various companies and institutions. Luis has also worked as a Research and Development Engineer at the Centro de Estudios Cientificos and Sensory Physiology Laboratory, where they contributed to the development of genomic analysis pipelines and software tools for microscopy image analysis.

Luis Véliz began their education in 2004 and completed it in 2011 at Universidad Austral de Chile, where they earned a degree in Computer Engineering with a focus on Engineering Sciences. In 2015, they attended Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and obtained a Master's degree in Technological Management and Entrepreneurship. Luis also completed a Technology Management and Innovation Diploma at the same university in the same year. In 2017 and 2018, they pursued further education by attending Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where they earned a diploma in Big Data as part of their studies in Computer Engineering.
