Erica Thomas has extensive experience in the news industry, currently serving as Editor-at-Large and Managing Editor at 1819 News since September 2021, and as Managing Editor at The Trussville Tribune since March 2019. Previous roles include News Producer at WBRC FOX6 News from February 2016 to March 2019, and at ABC 33/40 from November 2011 to February 2016, as well as at WTVM News Leader 9 between January 2009 and January 2011. Additional experience includes working as a Writer and Advertising Sales Rep at Lake Wedowee Life Magazine, a Production Assistant for High Five Entertainment, and a News Producer at WAKA. Erica Thomas began a career in journalism as an intern at FOX6 WBRC and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication and Communication Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
