Torsten H is a Senior Research Scientist at EnerG2, where they have been integral in the success of the Battery Technologies division and Product Development. Their efforts have included the materials development of high capacity hard carbons and silicon-carbon composites for use as anodes in lithium-ion batteries. Additionally, they developed several characterization methods for the performance of carbon additives in lead-acid battery systems. Aside from these monumental achievements, their more routine tasks have included the following:

-Designing and performing experiments, analyzing data, and compiling findings into technical reports and presentations.

-Routinely conceiving and writing invention disclosures related to internal intellectual property

-Providing expertise in troubleshooting instruments and control charting

-Synthesizing polymer resin carbon precursors using wet chemistry, thermo-curing, and emulsion-based techniques.

-Consistently developing and characterizing a variety of electrochemical energy storage systems using a multitude of electrochemical characterization techniques.

Torsten H earned a Masters of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Washington. Torsten also earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Western Washington University. Torsten started their educational career at Skagit Valley College where they earned an Associate of Arts in University College Transfer.
